Problem

Environmentally-conscious users typically face the following challenges:
Limited access to forested land
Lack of transparency in how funds are used
Low motivation for individual or long-term participation
Difficulty tracking the results of their contribution

The platform’s goal was to simplify the participation process and create a trustworthy experience for users.

Discovery

Three personas were defined to identify needs and motivations:
Concerned Citizen: Looking for a simple and reliable way to participate
Diaspora Iranian: Wants to support from a distance
Environmental Activist: Seeking projects with detailed and reliable reporting

Design

Defining Features and the MVP:

The key MVP features included order placement, sapling gifting, and environmental education.

Other features, such as long-term growth tracking or creating environmental campaigns, were deferred to later phases so the product could be implemented and tested more quickly.

Reflections

  • The publication of this project on social media led to multiple connections with social and environmental activists.
  • It also attracted interest from potential investors who asked me to prepare a pitch deck for funding.
One group expressed interest in investing, while another suggested a joint implementation of the project.

I learned : )
